Wrapping Up 2025 — A Year of Growth, New Chapters, and Real Life

2025 was a year of major shifts, meaningful milestones, and learning to carry both the joy and the weight that life can bring.

One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of this year was becoming newborn safety certified. Working with brand-new babies has always been a passion, and investing in deeper education and training in newborn safety was a goal I was grateful to reach. Every baby who comes into my studio will always be photographed with care, support, and intentional handling.

This year also brought an honor I didn’t see coming — being nominated as one of Murray–Calloway County’s favorite photographers and studio spaces. To have my work recognized in my own community, surrounded by talented and long-established creatives, was incredibly humbling and encouraging.

2025 was also the year I stepped into a new career in real estate with Kopperud Realty, while continuing to grow my photography business. Two industries, one calendar, and a lot of color-coded scheduling later — I’m grateful for the growth, the new skills, and the clients I get to serve in both spaces.

And in the middle of it all, I balanced life as a mom of three. Business owner one minute, contracts and client messages the next, and then straight into school drop-offs, snacks, and bedtime routines. It’s full, busy, messy, sweet, and real — and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This year also brought deep personal loss with the passing of someone we loved dearly. Even in grief, I found myself grateful for the ability to capture memories, hold space for families, and pour into meaningful work during a season that reminded me how precious photos and time truly are.
