Senior sessions are always meaningful, but this one felt especially personal. As a senior photographer in Murray, KY, I get to document a lot of milestones—but some sessions carry a little more history than others.
I’ve known her since she was about four years old. While our family spent years moving between California and Texas, her dad and our family stayed in touch, especially during visits back home. Time and distance passed quickly, and now here we were—taking her senior photos.
What stood out most during this session was how naturally she carried herself. Confident, kind, and thoughtful, she’s grown into a young adult who makes the people around her feel comfortable—something I see firsthand now that she even helps watch my own kids. That full-circle moment wasn’t lost on me.
This session wasn’t about over-posing or forcing moments. It was simple and genuine, focused on capturing who she is right now, at the edge of a new chapter.
I don’t take it lightly when families trust me with milestones like this—especially when there’s history involved. Photographing her senior year felt less like work and more like documenting a moment that mattered.
I’m proud of the person she’s become and grateful I got to be the one behind the camera for this season of her life.
